systemic stories for systemic solutions

hi, i’m forest, founder of empathy stories. i’d like to share the origin of this work with you.

my architecture masters thesis looked at leveraging the power of design to rebuild our culture’s systems as structures of social equity, safety, and thriving for all.

as an outreach fellow i listened to folx share the challenges of living in a divided community. in response, we: formed a community group; shared vision, skills + friendship; gathered stories; and published a book of people’s voices as community space.

listening in relationship helped us to see + understand the needs present, to design responsively, and to take action. community was moved to create solutions + impacts together, and we: renovated a building; created physical community space; and provided programming for everyone.

i continued on in minimalist architecture, somatic empathy, and interpersonal neurobiology. i learned how we heal, foster connection, and cultivate systems change.

empathy stories provides this integration of design thinking, whole system engagement, + connected communication. we help orgs + coalitions building social equity + environmental regeneration to convey systemic impact by providing storytelling from diverse viewpoints throughout the system as a whole.

making complex solutions digestible + emotionally connecting supports your collaborators + investors to understand, to be moved, and to expand systems of wellbeing for all.
